So he put all his knowledge to work. And by saying all of his knowledge I mean his professional education, a doctorate in educational counseling and clinical psychology studies and years of experience as an associate professor at Saint John's University in New York, and his empirical knowledge, and he wrote and published one of my favorite books "Your erroneous zones" in 1976.

Aún con las pedradas descalabradoras que me dio (o que yo solita me supe poner el saco), me gustó muchísimo y mastiqué por así decirlo, un buen tiempo su libro "Tus zonas erróneas". Ojo no es nada de sexualidad, dice zonas erróneas no erógenas jejeje, así que no esperen una guía para tener mejor sexo.
Even with several times it felt like the book was pretty much throwing rocks at me - or maybe I placed myself on the spotlight voluntarily- I still really enjoyed and thought through the "Your erroneous zones" book. And please do keep in mind that it says erroneous zones not erogenous zones, so it is not a book about having better sex or so, well... I guess it could lead you to improve your life in many ways, but is not a sex guide.

Hasta ese punto en el libro, ya se nos está dando bastante tarea, llamenlo de autoexploración, o conocimiento personal, pero con sus anecdotas el Dr Dyer nos deja muy claro las ventajas y el alcance de sus propuestas.
I don't really want to go into much detail since I believe it would be best for you to actually read this book, but I can tell you that I was very shocked to notice how it seems like us humans, spend an awful lot of time running in circles inside our habits, which many times are bad for our mental and physical health! And how we spend much of the day-in day-out routine tripping over the mess we created. Considering this, Dr Dyer suggests some actions, starting with becoming fully responsible of our decisions, becoming responsible of our past, our present and even the future we are creating. Forget about blaming someone else or constantly looking for the guilty. Plus he underlines the great importance of loving ourselves, by creating a positive self-image, and to stop constantly seeking for approval, people around us - even our loved ones - will judge us, and dedicating our lives trying to satisfy others expectations plus our own is just way to much.
So by this point of the book, we are already given a whole lot of homework. You will start to dig into yourself, discovering things about you, and Dr. Dyer through his anecdotes exemplifies graciously and clearly the great advantages of his own improvement suggestions.

Believe when I say that as you go through the chapters of this book, you will find yourselves reliving in your mind a whole lot of previous personal anecdotes and conversations, but from a more neutral and analytic point of view.
En verdad, les recomiendo que le de una oportunidad, o mejor dicho que se den la oportunidad de leer o escuchar el trabajo de Dyer. Hagan la prueba aplicándo alguna de sus teorías o "sugerencias" y verán que bien se siente.
I really really encourage you to give his work an opportunity... well actually it would be more or you giving yourself the opportunity to evolve while reading or listening to Dyer's work. But don't just believe what I say, go out there and really try one of his theories or suggestions and you will notice how nice it feels to do so!
